Don’t Just Rely On AdWords, Do Article Marketing Too
I like the idea of attracting traffic to my landing page using PPC advertising method. But, to be honest, that is not the only way that I drive traffic to my product landing page. Online marketing is all about doing what you can do good at. While I know it’s true when people say that Google AdWords is the easiest way to start driving traffic to your landing page, it should not be the only way that you done to attract traffic to your landing page.
I admit, I am sucks at tracking my keywords in my Google AdWords campaigns. And I ended up spending a lot of unnecessary money. But, I learnt a lesson, in marketing, no matter if it’s online or offline marketing, we must test everything and stick to whatever that works.
One of the proven strategy to get hoards of traffic to your blog is by using article marketing, or the bum marketing method. If you do some search in article directory, you might notice that I have been publishing articles on sites like EzineArticles since March ‘06. Well, I post most of my articles using an alternate author name, that is to make sure my competitors won’t be able to figure out what niche I am targetting.
Let me just share an article that I have done for one of the general niche that I am convenient to share with. I did this article for my karaoke site, and since they allow me to insert 2 links, I just added the a link that direct to this blog as well, and of course I choose the keywords I want to rank for as my anchor text, and in this case, it was ways to make money online. Well, of course, there is a better way to do article marketing.
Writing articles and submitting them to article directories is actually a very good way to drive traffic to your blog, here’s why:
- Google love them so much and whatever that appear there are being indexed.
- You can get free backlinks from a website with high Google PageRank
- If a lazy smart blogger or whoever decided to publish your article, complete with your resource box, you’re getting backlinks from their sites too.
- You are perceived as an expert in that field.
Sounds simple? Well, that’s only part of the story, but, if you focus your time and keep coming up with great articles to be published to a few article directories of your choice, together with EzineArticles and ArticleDashboard, you’re on your way to gain more exposures to your landing page. And, unlike AdWords, it doesn’t have to cost $250 for the entire campaign.
And to be successful with article marketing, you don’t even to get a mass article submitter software, so don’t even bother to get one.
Automate Your Online Business For Success
The beauty of operating an online business is, you don’t have to do all the billing, product delivery and invoicing manually.
That’s the biggest difference between operating offline and online business.
Automation is an important aspect for your online business to be a success.
So, how do we automate our online business?
There are a lot of tools available out there that we can use.
Let’s assume that your product is a video guide that is targeted to teenagers that is interested to learn skateboarding. So, the first thing that you will need is the sales letter creator software. It will come with a premade template and all you have to do is just fill in the blanks. Of course you can hire a freelancer to write it for you too. But for someone that just started their Internet Marketing journey, it would be better to do it by yourself and save the cost for your PPC campaigns later.
Next, you will need to make sure that you can accept online payments, product delivery and also invoicing. There are a lot of shopping cart software tools available out there. My preferred payment gateway would be PayPal. You can accept credit card payment with them too.
And then, you must do follow ups so that you can turn one time visitor into a customer. Trust me, you are losing money if you don’t do follow up.
You need to place a simple form to collect leads. Don’t ask for too much information because that’s a turn off. Just ask for their name and email address. Thats’ all. You can easily do follow ups by using either GetResponse or Aweber.
You should start your PPC campaigns only after you have done setting up all of the steps mention above. And when it comes to PPC campaigns, the first place that you need to go to is Google AdWords. Almost everyone use Google to search for information nowadays. I will highly recommend you to learn the right way to do Google AdWords campaign by visiting AdWords Excellence. There are a lot of great tools for premium members. You can have landing page templates, keyword research tools, and monthly sites that you can refer to. In fact, there’s a special section where Stewart will reveal how he made $200 per week on autopilot.
But most importantly, I manage to get as low as 7 cents minimum bid for my keywords after I go through the free guides that is available on AdWords Excellence! So, need I say more?
But then, you should think like your target market group and try to think where they will spend most of their time. One of the best place that you can go to is specialized forums that is created with the people in your target market in mind.

Have I Made My First $100k Yet?
A lot of people asked me this question, and I will be completely honest about it.
I am at the end of my first month in this project and is on my way to my first $100k in another 2 more months.
Some people told me to just stop dreaming and said, even working a day job for 10 years probably won’t be making you $100k per month, so what makes me think that giving away a rebrandable free report will help me to make $100k per month? Not All Affiliate Products Are Created Equal
This article was actually taken from my old blog that I sold away last year. I think the content is still relevant, that’s why I decided to republish the article. Sometimes people quit too early in their affiliate marketing journey. It might happen because they were not seeing any result instantly.
Actually, I believe there’s 2 main reasons why people don’t make money as an affiliate marketer.
1. They’re still in their learning curve phase.
Like everything else in life, you’ve got to spend some time to be familiar with your tools.
If you’re planning to make a living online, you should stop spending too much money on ebooks and let them collect digital dust. Stop being an affiliate newbie by choice and doing endless reading. Why not just try out what you have learn and tweak whatever that doesn’t seem right along the way? You might see a sale here and there. Don’t you think that would be a better way to keep your passion stay strong?
2. There’s something wrong with the product
Even Gobala Krishnan have a hard time to promote one of the products he is endorsing - Aweber! I was very surprised when he mentioned that he just got his first affiliate cheque from Aweber, after promoting it for almost 2 years! Before you say he is lousy, you need to know that Gobala is a well known affiliate marketer in Malaysia. He even ordered a review from John Chow to promote his instant wordpress template the other day. Just imagine, if Gobala were only promoting Aweber autoresponder in his entire online marketing journey, I don’t think he can even afford the $400 for his review on John Chow’s blog.
I think you would love this because I am going to introduce you guys to Cody Moya. He is a well known (and wealthy) affiliate marketer. I think they should change the title to Think Positive and Grow Rich, because that’s exactly what Napoleon Hill was trying to explain in that book. How To Drive Traffic To Your Landing Page
I apologize for the delay in publishing this article, I was actually a little bit busy with the 100k project special invitation.
Earlier on, I mentioned about how we can grow our mailing list by becoming a guest blogger on a blog in the same niche market.
And today let us discuss some of the techniques that we can use to drive traffic to our landing page and take action. Let me be honest, a nicely written landing page is useless if there’s no one that’s going to pay any attention to it. And when there’s no one visiting your landing page, you won’t get any result that you desire. It could cost you a lot of lost.
One of the most effective way that you can use to drive traffic to your landing page is by submitting articles to article directories and also web 2.0 sites like Hubpages and Squidoo. But then, you won’t make a dime if you write about something that no one wants to read about.
The real question that you should ask yourself the next time you start writing any article is to find out what are the information that people are searching for so that your brain cells doesn’t die in vain.
So, how do you find out what kind of topic that are in high demand and low supply?
For me, I would usually find out what are the information that people are looking for and the keywords that they type in the search engine. I personally use AdWords Analyzer keyword research tool to make sure that the article that I publish on article directories will be ranked highly on keyword terms with high daily search volumes.
Sounds simple? Well. Why don’t you try it and see if it works.

There are Two Types of Internet Marketing Guru
I am not sure if you realize it or not, but I believe there are 2 types of Internet marketing guru that exists out there.
a) One that committed to help you successful and make money online
b) One that makes you keep buying useless products to make themselves filthy rich.
And Internet marketing got a bad name because of those Internet marketers that are categorized in the latter group.
They sell you products after products and make you believe that it will be the solution to your problems. And the worst part is, you end up buying it even when you feel like you don’t need info-products.
There is actually no secret in Internet marketing. You just need to focus on a certain products and take action. You already know what to do, but knowing what to do is not enough. You need to take action to make it work. Trust me, you don’t even have to be perfect the first time.

Guest Blogging And Build Your Mailing List
I mentioned about how we can build our mailing list by submitting articles to web 2.0 sites like Hubpages and Squidoo in my previous post. Let us discuss another strategy that we can take to grow the size of our mailing list before moving on to another topic.
Have you ever thought the possibility of growing your mailing list by becoming a guest blogger? There are several factors that you need to consider to make sure that you will get the maximum exposure:
* You can call me prejudice but I wouldn’t consider becoming a guest blogger on blogs that are hosted on free platforms such as blogspot.com and wordpress.com. It’s because these blog owners are giving me the impression that they can’t afford to pay their webhosting. So, do you think they make money online. Doubtful.
*Do your own due dilligence. I will be more than happy to guest blog for blogs with great and original contents.
* How’s the Alexa , Technorati ranking and Google PR value? This is quite important, especially if you don’t have too much time to write guest blogpost for too many blogs.
* See if there are already a lot of comments in older post. Spam comments doesn’t count. This is important because you wouldn’t want to be the only person to comment and read the blog post later on. The more genuine comments means more people are reading the blog and they could be the very person that will joining your mailing list.
So, you asked, how to look for great blogs that are accepting guest blogpost?
Very easy. I would suggest you to do a search on blogSearch from Google by keying in the your target keywords and +guest blog. Not too difficult, right?
Blogging is about discussion. Contribute to the discussion and leave constructive comments. You might even get a free backlink and get featured in the next blog post if he like your comment.
